Angel Di Maria unintentionally mocks Tottenham while discussing Real Madrid future

Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria has been at the center of intense transfer speculation ever since the arrival of Gareth Bale, but has long maintained that his wish is to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu for many years to come.

Speaking to Spanish daily Marca recently, the Argentine discussed the possibility of a transfer, and in doing so produced one of the best shots at another club we have heard in quite some time.

"Many things were said, sometimes you think a lot and it hurts you when you are trying to always do your best for a club and then it comes out that you might be going to Tottenham," Di Maria said, via ESPN.

Intentional? Almost certainly not.

Hilarious? Absolutely.

If Arsenal are interested in signing Di Maria, this would be the time to do it. He'll never be more popular among Gooners than he is right now.
