Thibaut Courtois bids farewell to Atletico Madrid ahead of expected return to Chelsea
At long last, it looks as though Thibaut Courtois is returning to Chelsea.
The Belgian goalkeeper, who helped his country reach the quarterfinals of the World Cup, has spent the past three season on loan at Atletico Madrid, winning plaudits as one of the best young shot-stoppers in the game.
Now, it seems like he will finally be given the opportunity to usurp Petr Cech as the first choice netminder at Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old posted the following message on his Facebook page Friday, thanking Atletico Madrid and biding farewell to the club's supporters.
Thank you Atlético de Madrid and all the Atlético fans for 3 beautiful years! In order to say goodbye, all Atlético fans can ask me any question you want. I will answer the 10 best questions in a video message!
