VIDEO: Valencia ends Real Madrid's incredible 22-match win streak
The streak is over.
Real Madrid came into Sunday's match against Valencia with 22 consecutive victories in all competitions, a streak that most expected them to extend despite the tough trip to the Mestalla.
Los Che didn't care for that narrative.
Despite going behind in the opening half to a penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo, the home side recovered with two goals in the second half to claim a very impressive three points and show that Carlo Ancelotti's men are indeed human like the rest of us.
Defender Nicolas Otamendi scored the winner, rising highest from a corner and beating Sergio Ramos to power home a bullet header in the 65th minute.
It had to end at some point, but the 'L' still looks out of place:
