Luis Suarez: I would only play for Liverpool if I returned to Premier League
Luis Suarez still loves Liverpool.
The Uruguayan striker was back at Anfield for the first time since his summer move to Barcelona, taking part in a charity match for the Liverpool FC Foundation alongside a host of other stars.
Suarez, who was part of Steven Gerrard's team that drew with Jamie Carragher's all-stars 2-2, said after the match that if he were to ever return to the Premier League, he knows exactly which club he would like to play for.
"You never know in football what the future holds, but if I ever play in England again I will play for the Liverpool team and not another team," he said.
Suarez, adored by Liverpool supporters during his three-and-a-half year spell with the Reds, went on to discuss the relationship he forged with those fans during his time in Merseyside.
"I've missed the fans.
"The atmosphere is unbelievable, it's amazing. Everyone who's played for Liverpool knows how important the supporters are. They know they are in my heart."
