Report: Agreement established between Atletico Madrid, Anderlecht over Youri Tielemans
One of Belgium's teenage prodigies is reportedly on the verge of heading to the Vicente Calderon.
According to Spanish daily AS, Atletico Madrid tied up a deal with Anderlecht for 17-year-old defensive midfielder Youri Tielemans, who is a staple of the Belgian club's squad this season and is regarded as one of the top under-17 prospects in Europe.
Representatives from Atleti reportedly met with emissaries from Anderlecht, including their manager director, and a tentative agreement was established as both parties left the meeting with the belief that Tielemans will play for Diego Simeone's side next season.
Furthermore, Anderlecht have apparently offered Tielemans a five-season contract renewal with the intention that he sign it before negotiating with Atleti. One year remains on his current deal.
