Iker Casillas is getting a rare day off.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed Tuesday that goalkeeper Keylor Navas will start Wednesday's contest against Almeria, which will serve as only the fifth league start for the Costa Rican this season.
"He'll start tomorrow. I can't explain why he seems to always play in the Santiago Bernabeu. I don't think about whether it is home or away fixture. He can play in any stadium," Ancelotti said, referencing the fact that Navas' four other starts in La Liga have all been home matches.
The move is almost certainly aimed to give Casillas some rest ahead of a massive week that will see the club take on Sevilla and Juventus.
