Twitter explodes after Lionel Messi destroys Jerome Boateng
Anything positive Jerome Boateng did in his career was all but forgotten in an instant after Lionel Messi humiliated the German international.
Messi added to his legend Wednesday after a sudden change of direction forced his opponent to tumble to the floor. He finished by flawlessly chipping Manuel Neuer to double Barcelona's lead over Bayern Munich in the Champions League semifinal.
The internet proceeded to lose its mind, with jokes and memes popping up all over social media depicting Boateng's embarrassing moment.
In case anyone missed it, here's how Messi turned Boateng inside out, and the subsequent internet madness that ensued:
Watch it in slow motion and you can see the exact moment when Messi reaches over and takes Boateng's batteries out.
