It's not every day that a football player brings a grandparent to their official unveiling with a new team.
With her own spot in the Real Betis dugout, Rafael Van Der Vaart's grandmother, Dolores, watched with joy as her 32-year-old grandson was paraded in front of a crowd of cheering supporters.
Van Der Vaart joined the Spanish side following three disappointing years with Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga, where he was named the league's biggest flop during his final season.
The former Tottenham player, however, was all smiles after donning the Real Betis green and white in front of hundreds of adoring fans at the Benito Villamarin stadium.
