'No truth' in rumours of Neymar's possible transfer to Manchester United, agent says
Neymar is not leaving Barcelona any time soon, according to the player's agent.
Jaime Jackson of the Guardian reported Sunday that Manchester United had sounded out Barcelona for Neymar, who apparently would like "the chance to play in the Premier League."
But only a few hours later, his agent, Wagner Ribeiro, said in an interview with Brazilian media outlet GloboEsporte that there's "no truth" in any reports linking the 23-year-old Selecao star to a move away from the Camp Nou.
"He has three more years left on his contract. The English press love spreading rumours," Ribeiro said, as translated by Marca. "Barcelona have never thought of selling Neymar and he is very happy there."
Neymar missed Barcelona's La Liga opener against Athletic Bilbao with the mumps Sunday, but he has already returned to training.
