Asier Illarramendi completes move back to Real Sociedad from Real Madrid
Asier Illarramendi has gone home.
The 25-year-old Spanish midfielder ended his short career with Real Madrid to sign a six-year contract with Real Sociedad, the club confirmed Wednesday.

Financial details were not disclosed, but AS reports the deal to be worth €17 million plus bonuses.
The agreement gives Madrid the option to buy back Illarramendi, the Spanish paper adds, as well as the percentage of any future sale.
Liverpool was reportedly ready to offer €20.4 million (£15 million) for Illarramendi, who wasn't included in Madrid's team sheet in the opening match against Sporting Gijon on the weekend.
Illarramendi spent his youth career at Real Sociedad and an additional three seasons with the senior team.
He made the €32-million switch to Madrid in July 2013, but 20 of his 30 La Liga appearances for Los Blancos last season came as a substitute.
