Lionel Messi available vs. Atletico Madrid after birth of 2nd son
The birth of Lionel Messi's second son won't prevent the Argentine superstar from being available for Barcelona's clash with Atletico Madrid.
Despite missing a training session to attend the birth, Messi was included in the 18-man squad to face the 2013 La Liga winners Saturday.
"He (Messi) is available to play. He is on the list. The club gave him permission not to train today for personal reasons," Barca manager Luis Enrique said.
Messi is expected to assume his usual position in the Barcelona attack alongside Neymar and Luis Suarez. His possible inclusion will mark the second time in three matches that the dynamic trio were lined up with each other.
Saturday's game is also an opportunity for Messi to break his scoring drought after failing to find the back of the net during Barcelona's opening two games.
Messi's first son, Thiago, was born in 2012.
