The record-breaking moment was classic Real Madrid, as Ronaldo capped off a lethal counterattack that was spearheaded by Gareth Bale, who also won the penalty that Cristiano converted in the first half and assisted the Portuguese superstar's third goal of the fixture.
And because four goals in one match just isn't enough, Ronaldo tallied his fifth of the match in the 81st minute, one-timing a shot past 'keeper Pau Lopez for his 230th career La Liga goal after some phenomenal individual skill from Lucas Vazquez.
Real Madrid's 6-0 win marks the second time Ronaldo has scored five goals in a game. He first accomplished the feat during his club's 9-1 thrashing of Granada last season.
Make it five goals for Cristiano Ronaldo today!
He's the first player score five goals in a game TWICE for Real Madrid.
