Luis Suarez says Sergio Ramos is the toughest defender he's faced
When Barcelona defeated Real Madrid in the most recent edition of El Clasico, it was Luis Suarez who tallied the winning goal after outpacing both Pepe and Sergio Ramos.
For the Uruguayan forward, that moment was of particular importance.
In an interview with Mundo Deportivo that was published on Tuesday, Suarez heaped praise on Ramos, describing him as the most resilient defender that he's come across throughout his career.
"He's the toughest defender that I've come up against," Suarez said, according to AS. "He's very strong, competitive and has plenty of experience. That's one of the reasons why there is added importance on the goal I scored against Real Madrid at Camp Nou."
Suarez scored a hat trick versus Eibar over the weekend to raise his goal count in La Liga to seven through eight appearances.
He'll have another opportunity to go up against Ramos on Nov. 25, when Barcelona and Real Madrid renew their rivalry.
