Gerard Pique thinks his Kevin Roldan comment 'will last forever'

Gerard Pique's witty remarks will survive the test of time - or so he says.

On Friday, AS published excerpts of an interview that Movistar Plus conducted with Pique. The sneak preview for the conversation, which is set to air Tuesday, captured the Catalan defender reflecting on his comment about rapper Kevin Roldan.

During Barcelona's Treble-winning celebrations in June, Pique said, "Thank you Kevin Roldan, it all started with you."

Roldan had performed at a birthday party for Cristiano Ronaldo following Real Madrid's 4-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in February. The Spanish media lambasted the Portuguese superstar for partying after losing to his club's eternal rival.

Pique, however, appears to have no regrets about what he said.

"I still think it was something funny and entertaining which will last forever," he said. "As long as there is respect and you are not insulting anyone, there's nothing bad about having a little dig at your rivals. The Bernabeu public have always been very respectful, nothing strange has ever happened there."

Just over a week ago, Ronaldo uploaded a video of his birthday party from "Ronaldo," the film about his football career. Roldan can be seen performing in the background as Ronaldo lets loose on the dance floor.
