Lionel Messi's star power is real.

As of Thursday, more than 30 million people followed the Barcelona star on Instagram. He celebrated by posting a photo of the kit he wore during his first game with Barca.

Reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry, who has been embracing comparisons to Messi as of late, congratulated him on his social media milestone, extending an invitation to take in a Golden State Warriors game.

With nearly six million followers on Instagram, Curry still has a long way to go to catch up.
