Barcelona has been the most dominant football team in the world over the last decade. And in the last few years, the club's players have become legends, as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, and David Villa are all titans of the sport.

It's strange, then, that not one single Barcelona player has ever won the Liga BBVA Player of the Month honour, no?

Until now, that is.

Brazilian forward Neymar has been named La Liga's top player for the month of November, marking the first time a Barcelona player has been given the nod since the award's inception in September 2013.

The 23-year-old guided Barcelona to the top of the table in November, scoring five goals in three games throughout the month. Very deserving of the award, Neymar has 14 goals in 13 games this season in total.

Evidently, Messi needs to step his game up if he wants to be considered an elite talent in La Liga.
