Report: James Rodriguez pursued by undercover cops for driving 200 km/hour
Real Madrid star James Rodriguez was just speeding along in Madrid, enjoying the roar of his Audi R8, minding his own and heading to training on this, the first day of the new calendar year.
Problem is, you can't go 200 kph in the Spanish capital, which is what undercover officers spotted him driving at on the M-40 Motorway.
Officers followed Rodriguez to the club's training grounds and had a quick chat with the security before being allowed past the gates. Rodriguez had also apparently failed to stop after a direct order, as police were calling for the midfielder to "pull over on the right" over the car's loudspeaker.
It was a valiant effort from Rodriguez, but the midfielder falls just short of the Real Madrid speeding record, currently held by Karim Benzema, whom was caught going about 217 km/h just a few months prior.
