Watford is drawing nearer the signing of Malaga's Nordin Amrabat after the Premier League club activated his £6-million release clause.
Amrabat, who has previously turned out for the likes of PSV Eindhoven and Galatasaray, is due to fly into England for contract negotiations and a medical, according to Sky Sports.
The Moroccan international has appeared sporadically across the La Liga outfit's front line and midfield this term, but has done enough to encourage Quique Sanchez Flores to go bargain hunting in his homeland.
With Watford looking a little light on the flanks, Amrabat could be seen as a decent fit on either wing at Vicarage Road.
A predicted move for Fiorentina's Mario Suarez is apparently off, with Watford withdrawing its interest in the Spaniard.
