Valencia signs Denis Cheryshev from Real Madrid on season-long loan
Valencia announced Monday the club has signed Russian midfielder Denis Cheryshev out of Real Madrid on a season-long loan that will last until June 30, 2016.
Cheryshev, 25, is a product of the Real Madrid youth academy and has made six senior-team appearances, scoring one goal in that time.

Cheryshev was also recently the topic of controversy as his appearance in a Copa del Rey match resulted in Madrid being disqualified from the competition. Having spent time with Villarreal on loan in 2014-15, Cheryshev had accumulated yellow cards in a previous edition of the Copa del Rey and was ineligible to play for Madrid.
The Russian international joins a Valencia team in slump as new manager Gary Neville has not won a single league match since taking over at the helm of the club; with eight winless league matches, Cheryshev, a winger by trade, will compete with Santi Mina, Pablo Piatti, Rodrigo De Paul, and Sofiane Feghouli for a spot out wide.
