Amy Yang wins Women's PGA Championship for 1st major victory
Amy Yang claimed her first career major victory at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship on Sunday, finishing with a three-stroke lead over the rest of the field.

The Korean had two second-place finishes at the U.S. Women's Open in 2012 and 2015. This was her 75th major start.
"I always wanted to win a major," Yang told Golf Channel. "I came close several times. I started doubting myself, am I ever going to win a major before I retire? I've been on tour for quite a while. I'm so grateful and very, very happy to win a major."
She added, "I'm at a loss for words right now. ... I just trusted (in) what I prepared, and I did my best all week."
Yang held a seven-stroke lead at one point Sunday but ran into trouble with a double-bogey on the 17th hole. However, she carded five birdies earlier in the round to help shore up her victory.
The 34-year-old entered Sunday's action with a two-shot lead and held on to secure her sixth career win on the LPGA Tour.
Yang is the oldest major winner on the LPGA circuit since Angela Stanford won the Evian Championship in 2018 at age 40, according to the Associated Press.
