Cubs return Schwarber's HR ball to video board
Kyle Schwarber's home run ball is back where it belongs.
The Chicago Cubs have put the ball that clinched last year's National League Division Series back atop Wrigley Field's right-field video board, Cubs president of business operations Crane Kenney announced Monday on WCSR 670's "Mully and Hanley Show," according to Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune.
Schwarber's homer, which traveled an estimated 419 feet before settling above the video board, immediately became one of the most memorable moments in Wrigley Field history. Two innings later, the Cubs eliminated the Cardinals to win a playoff series at the 102-year-old ballpark for the first time ever.

The Cubs left the ball in its location for the duration of their 2015 playoff run, but removed it in January, citing security concerns.
Schwarber is out for the remainder of the 2016 season after tearing two ligaments in his left knee April 7 while colliding with teammate Dexter Fowler in the outfield.
