Schilling shares anti-transgender Facebook post

Curt Schilling, the former All-Star and current ESPN analyst who was suspended last year for a controversial tweet about Muslims, made his thoughts on public restroom access for transgender people known Monday in a meme shared on his Facebook account.

"A man is a man no matter what they call themselves," Schilling wrote in the comments, which has also been deleted. "I don't care what they are, who they sleep with, men's room was designed for the penis, women's not so much. Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic."

Following Schilling's previous social media indiscretion, ESPN - the network that, in 2013, launched a program to foster a more welcoming workplace for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender employees - condemned the 49-year-old (whose contract expires after the 2016 MLB season).

"Curt’s tweet was completely unacceptable, and in no way represents our company’s perspective," the network wrote in a statement.
