Angels' Jered Weaver: Takes first loss against Brewers

Weaver gave up just two extra-base hits out of those 11, both doubles, but he routinely caught too much of the plate last night. With his fastball sitting in the low 80s, Weaver has been relying on his changeup, but the Brewers put it in play eight times for five hits (.625). Overall, the Brewers managed 11 line drives against Weaver on 21 balls in play. The 33-year-old may have been undefeated entering this game, but he has a 5.40 ERA after this beating and is all but out of gas.
