History has never looked so efficient.
Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer became the fourth pitcher in major-league history Wednesday to strike out 20 batters in a nine-inning game, and he did so with remarkable ease, firing 96 strikes to just 23 balls while generating the second most swings and misses (33) by a pitcher in 15 seasons.
In honor of Scherzer's efficiency, watch all 20 putouts in this mesmerizing sequence of dominance.
