Chase Headley is finally on the board.
The New York Yankees infielder, who has gotten off to a terrible start this season, recorded his first extra-base hit of 2016 - and his first since Sept. 27, 2015 - in style on Thursday, hammering a line drive to left field for a home run against the Kansas City Royals.
Headley - who came into the at-bat hitting .178/.265/.178 - matched the extra-base hit and home run total of New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon with the blast and has gone a remarkable amount of real time without earning an extra bagger.
