And here we were thinking only Air Force softball players took flight.
Army's Kasey McCravey, who was recently named the Patriot League Player of the Year, scored one of the most incredible runs you'll ever see on a diamond against Lehigh on Saturday. McCravey appeared to have been gunned down at the plate during the Patriot League championship tournament contest - until she leaped over the stunned catcher and got her hand on home plate.
The "slide" ended up the winning run for the Black Knights, who advanced to the Patriot League final with a 3-1 win over the Mountain Hawks.
