Orioles place Paredes on waivers

The Baltimore Orioles have placed Jimmy Paredes (wrist) on waivers Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Analysis:
Paredes is nearing the end of his rehab assignment and is in the lineup for Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, but the Orioles don't have an open spot on the 25-man roster available for him. The team appears content to proceed with Ryan Flaherty and Paul Janish as their utility men, so Paredes will have to bide his time in the minors unless another organization elects to put in a waiver claim.
