Suspensions can't hold Jose Bautista down.
Hours before Tuesday's game, the six-time All-Star received word that Major League Baseball had handed him a one-game ban for his role in Sunday's bench-clearing fracas.
Bautista elected to appeal the suspension, meaning he was in the Toronto Blue Jays' lineup against the Tampa Bay Rays. He then took out much of his apparent anger on a poor baseball in his first at-bat of the game, sending Chris Archer's pitch to straightaway center field to give the Blue Jays an early 2-1 lead.
