Mariners' Wade Miley: Fails to continue winning streak
Miley (5-2) lasted just four innings Saturday against the Twins, allowing five runs, five hits and four walks while striking out six. He did not factor in the decision.
Analysis:
Miley came into this one riding a three-game winning streak and a six-game streak in which he had thrown six-plus innings in each outing. However, both of those ended as he continued to be plagued by the deep ball, giving up three homers and increasing his already awful rate to 1.8 HR/9. He'll draw the Padres in his next start Thursday.
