Athletics' Khris Davis: Still experiencing discomfort

Despite returning to the lineup Sunday, Davis' elbow injury remains an issue, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports.

Analysis:

Davis was hitless in three at-bats Sunday, and was eventually replaced by pinch hitter Billy Butler. According to Joe Stiglich of CSN California, the discomfort almost immediately resurfaced Sunday, so much so that Davis may not make it into the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup against Milwaukee, his former squad. As much as he would like to be at full capacity against the team that traded him away, consider Davis day-to-day heading into the two-game series.
