One Carlos Estevez pitches in the majors. The other Carlos Estevez famously portrayed a big-league pitcher in the "Major League" movies.

On Monday night, the two famous Carlos Estevezes finally crossed paths.

With the Colorado Rockies in Los Angeles to face the Dodgers, this week was a perfect time for the Rockies' rookie right-hander to meet actor Charlie Sheen - whose real name is Carlos Estevez.

"Yeah! I meet the real #wildthing last night an(d) it was amazing!!" the 23-year-old pitcher wrote on Instagram. "Crazy we have the exactly same name!"

Carlos Estevez the pitcher, a native of the Dominican Republic, owns a 4.67 ERA and 16 strikeouts in his brief big-league career. Most importantly, though, he's separated himself from Sheen's most famous character, Indians pitcher Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn, by entering Tuesday's action with zero wild pitches to his name.
