Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista left Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies after crashing into the wall in the seventh inning while trying to track down a fly ball from Cameron Rupp.
Bautista, who appeared to be in rough shape, was checked by a trainer before exiting the game with Toronto leading 9-0.
The 35-year-old hit his toe on the base of the wall during the attempted catch, and was later diagnosed with left big toe soreness. He'll be sent for precautionary X-rays.
He was replaced in right field by Ryan Goins.
Bautista, whose been dealing with other aches and pains to his hip and thigh, was hitting .229/.362/.459 with 12 home runs and 40 RBIs entering Thursday's contest.
