Harvey lands on DL with right shoulder discomfort

The New York Mets have placed starter Matt Harvey on the 15-day disabled list with discomfort in his right shoulder, the club announced Wednesday.
Right-hander Seth Lugo has been recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding roster move.
Harvey will head to St. Louis to see specialist Dr. Robert Thomson regarding the injury. According to Newsday's Marc Carig, Thomson is a vascular surgeon specializing in thoracic outlet syndrome and is the same doctor that removed a blood clot from Dillon Gee's shoulder in 2012.
Harvey's discomfort could be the cause for a poor start to the 2016 season. The right-hander leads the National League in losses with 10 so far, and is posting a 4.86 ERA in 17 starts.
He owns a career 2.94 ERA over four seasons in MLB.
