It's not overly surprising to know that everyone loves Big Papi.
But if there was ever data to back up just how much David Ortiz is loved, it's jersey sales. During his farewell tour, the Boston Red Sox slugger got the award of top-selling jersey, the league announced.
When asked about it, Ortiz was humbled.
"I'm a lovely person, man," he told reporters Monday. "I don't know. I try to be sweet. People understand that. I'm sociable."
The 40-year-old beat out young buck Kris Bryant for top spot, while Clayton Kershaw finished third.
Ortiz, who maintained he won't retire after this season, his 20th, also had the most popular jerseys in the majors in 2014.
