Mookie Betts leaves game with sore right knee
BOSTON (AP) Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts left Friday night's game against the Minnesota Twins in the fifth inning with soreness in his right knee.
Betts, who led off the game with a home run for the second consecutive night, was replaced in right field by Michael Martinez in the top of the fifth. The Red Sox announced a few minutes later that Betts had left the game and was considered day-to-day.
Betts, an All-Star Game starter, leads the Red Sox with 127 hits and is second on the club with 20 home runs and 63 RBIs.
