Red Sox's Heath Hembree: Allows inherited runner to score
Hembree entered a tie game with a runner on in the sixth inning and gave up a walk and double, allowing the winning run to score in Friday night's 2-1 loss to the Twins.
Analysis:
Hembree has been effective against right-handed batters, holding them to a .173 batting average and .471 OPS, so it was quite natural for manager John Farrell to replace left-handed starter Eduardo Rodriguez with Minnesota's Brian Dozier and Miguel Sano due up, but it didn't work out. In the last two games, Hembree has given up four hits, a walk and a run in a third of an inning.
