Royals' Yordano Ventura: Suffers eighth loss of 2016 on Saturday
Before leaving the game with a rib injury, Ventura (6-8) allowed three runs on three hits and four walks while striking out five over five innings to take the loss Saturday against the Rangers.
Analysis:
Ventura held the Royals scoreless through three innings before being touched up for three runs between the fourth and fifth innings, and he received very little run support, leading to his eighth loss of the season. He's now held opponents to three or fewer runs in each of his last three starts, and his ERA is at 4.99. Based on how his rib injury checks out, he'll make his next start Thursday against the Rangers.
