Report: Mets, Brewers re-engaged in talks about Lucroy

With interest intensifying for Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy, the New York Mets have been invited back in the ring.
The Brewers have re-engaged in trade talks with the Mets regarding the two-time All-Star, sources tell Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports. There is no indication, however, that a deal is close.
Lucroy was scratched from the lineup Thursday, though Brewers manger Craig Counsell said that it was a scheduled day off and had nothing to do with a potential move.
It's believed the Mets offered catcher Travis d'Arnaud for Lucroy straight up earlier this week, with the Brewers rejecting the offer.
There have been multiple reports over the last several days linking Lucroy to a number of teams. The Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians, and Boston Red Sox are all believed to have interest, in addition to the Mets.
Lucroy would represent a substantial upgrade behind the plate for the Mets. He's hitting .300/.361/.486 with 13 home runs, 17 doubles, and 50 RBIs through 93 games, while New York catchers have combined to hit .225/.303/.325 with seven home runs, 13 doubles and 80 strikeouts.
