It's darn near impossible to tell what Chris Gimenez said to get Billy Butler so riled up Saturday night at Progressive Field, but it's safe to say the Cleveland Indians catcher wasn't whispering sweet nothings to the Oakland Athletics' veteran DH, who benefited from a friendly 1-2 call in the top of the fourth inning.
It was Butler who ended up getting the final word in their mid at-bat squabble, though, as he delivered an emphatic game-tying home run after working the count full and punctuated his shot with a Jose Bautista-esque bat flip.
After the Indians sunk the Athletics, 6-3, Butler downplayed his tiff with Gimenez, describing it merely as "a professional disagreement" and chalking it up to "tempers flaring."
