Blue Jays' Troy Tulowitzki: Pulled early Sunday with possible finger injury

Tulowitzki was removed in the top of the eighth inning during Sunday's game against the Orioles due to a likely finger injury, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.

Analysis:

Tulowitzki was struck on the finger during his sixth inning plate appearance, but was able to remain in the contest after being evaluated by team trainers. The Blue Jays' decision to lift Tulowitzki in the eighth inning may have just been precautionary, but his status will remain in some question heading into Monday's series opener with the Astros. If Tulowitzki is forced to miss time, Darwin Barney would be first in line to see increased reps at shortstop.
