Orioles' Dylan Bundy: Strikes out career-high nine in Sunday's win
Bundy (5-3) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk over six innings Sunday while striking out a career-high nine in a 10-2 win over the White Sox.
Analysis:
The Orioles had staked Bundy to an 8-0 lead by the third inning but he didn't lose his focus. Since a rough first start after the All-Star break, he's now put together an incredible 29:3 K:BB in 23.2 innings over his subsequent four outings while winning three of four decisions. Baltimore wasn't able to add an impact starting pitcher at the trade deadline but with the way Bundy is pitching right now, they may not have needed to. He'll next next the mound Friday in San Francisco.
