If you're not going to work hard, you're not going to play for Terry Collins.
After the New York Mets were shellacked 9-0 by the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday, Collins was asked, as a manager, where he should go from here.
He never lost his cool, but was all over the place. "It starts with me," he said, adding shortly after, "It starts with them."
Collins continued: "Starting tomorrow, we're back fresh. Starting tomorrow, we're going to get after it here. And those who don't want to get after it, I will find somebody else who does. Because in Las Vegas, there's a whole clubhouse filled of guys who want to sit in this room. And I'll find them."
The presser ended with Collins walking out after a four-minute rant.
