Watch: A-Rod shows off skills as 17-year-old phenom

With Alex Rodriguez's career coming to an end Friday, we can't help but reminisce about the incredible talent of the player we've watched for the last two decades.

A-Rod's legend began well before he was selected with the top pick in the 1993 draft by the Seattle Mariners. As evidenced by this video showing his freakish size and elite hands at baseball's most premium position, A-Rod's superstardom took flight when he was a highly touted shortstop at Westminster Christian in Miami.

The video was apparently shot sometime around 1992 or 1993, about a year before he debuted with Seattle as an 18-year-old phenom.
