LLWS boasts switch-pitcher for the 1st time in 60 years

Knowing a switch-pitcher is rare enough, but it isn't every day you see a young pitcher throw from both sides of the mound.
That's exactly what Curacao's Jurrangelo Cijntje did against South Korea on Friday. In the first inning, Cijntje faced two left-handed hitters before deciding to switch it up - literally - against the right-handed batter who stepped up to the plate.
According to John Beauge of Penn State live, it's the first time in 60 years the Little League World Series has seen an ambidextrous pitcher. The last switch-pitcher to appear in an LLWS game, according to league officials, was Angel Macias back in 1957, who also happens to be the only pitcher to ever throw a perfect game.
