Look: Cardinals celebrate 1st title with 1927 throwbacks
The St. Louis Cardinals are throwing it way back.
To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the organization's first World Series championship in 1926, the Cardinals will wear retro uniforms from 1927 that celebrated the previous year's title during Saturday's contest against the Oakland Athletics.

The throwbacks are complete with pinstripes and a logo-less cap, as well as the special "World Champions" crest the team wore during the entire 1927 season while defending its championship.
The Cardinals defeated the heavily favored Yankees in seven games to win the 1926 title, and their seventh-game win at Yankee Stadium remains one of the most memorable deciding contests in World Series history.
