Blue Jays' Russell Martin: Held out Friday
Martin (knee) is not in Friday's lineup against the Red Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
Analysis:
Martin reported feeling some knee pain during his at bats in Wednesday's game, and though there was some hope that the team's scheduled off day Thursday would be enough rest, he'll be held out with the ailment Friday. Going forward, Martin remains day-to-day while Dioner Navarro -- who's starting behind the plate and batting sixth Friday -- figures to fill in should he miss any more time.
