One New York team with a recent championship got to stand with the most decorated franchise in major-league history.
The Little League World Series champions from Endwell, N.Y., had the privilege of meeting some of their New York Yankee idols while standing for the national anthem, ahead of Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Endwell defeated Seoul, South Korea 2-1 in the championship game, becoming the first team from the United States to win the LLWS since 2001, and the first from the state of New York since 1964.
