Harper chucks bat after dramatic go-ahead blast
MLB / Twitter
You can't stop Bryce Harper, you can only hope to contain him.
Harper, who struck out in each of his first three plate appearances Saturday, saved his best at-bat for last, hammering a dramatic three-run homer off Phillies reliever Patrick Schuster in the eighth to break a scoreless tie and help the Nationals extend their NL East lead to nine games.
The Nationals superstar celebrated his 24th homer of the season - and first in 11 games - with a been-there-done-that bat flip befitting of a reigning MVP.
