Analysis:
Bettis beat the Padres again after going seven strong innings against them last Sunday. After struggling through much of the first half, the 27-year-old has been excellent in his last 13 starts, going 7-1 with a 3.40 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP. He's been even better over his last four outings, posting a 2.22 ERA and 0.67 WHIP with 21 strikeouts and three walks in 28.1 innings. Bettis will look to keep rolling in his next start at the Dodgers on Saturday.
