Hours after learning of the death of teammate and friend Jose Fernandez, Miami Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon took a moment to pay his respects at temporary memorial set up on the pitching mound at Marlins Park.
Gordon and Fernandez were teammates the past two seasons after Gordon was traded to Miami from the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Fernandez was one of three people who died early Sunday morning when the boat they were travelling on made "severe impact" with a jetty.
